HISTORY

HOPE Landing became a legally recognized nonprofit corporation in the state of Arkansas in July, 2005.  The Corporation was founded by five community members who, having in common an inclusive understanding of the needs of children with disabilities and their families, a love for God, a love for His children, and a love for their community, collaborated to form an organization that would be distinctive and unprecedented in its approach to children’s development.  In less than one year, a board of directors was organized, 501(c)(3) tax status with the IRS was achieved, a rural location east of  El Dorado was secured, and business opened as of June 5, 2006 providing therapeutic, recreational, and support services to children with disabilities and their families.

“Faith is being sure of what we
HOPE
for and certain of
what we do not see."

- Hebrews 11:1

________________________________________________________________

HOPE Landing stands on a core belief that every life is meaningful and has purpose within the mind of God, and that true healing can only occur through the love and power of Christ.

Through full acknowledgement of individual differences and needs, HOPE Landing recognizes not everyone shares our faith but believes it is a profound reality we all share the need for hope.

Our goal is to build bridges leading to this hope through a combination of professionalism and ministry that meets children and families where they are and cares regardless of where that is.

We simply do our best to live what we believe and trust that
speaks for itself.

Our Philosophy
– why we do it

HOPE Landing believes each life impacts the world.
The Corporation also believes every young life is precious and loved by God,
meaningful, and made for a purpose that can be realized and
fulfilled given the right support and care.
That kind of care can only come through collaborative efforts that meet
the needs of the child as a whole.

Through a combination of professional care and charitable support
that is grounded in ministry and the love of God through Christ,
HOPE Landing believes every child can receive what is needed for
optimal health and wellbeing; lives can be changed,
and the world made better beginning right where we live.

Scope of Practice

- who we serve

HOPE Landing currently serves children with physical or cognitive
disabilities that limit or interfere with healthy development and independent function in daily life.  Diagnoses include but are not limited to:

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorders
Cerebral Palsy
Development Disabilities and Delays
Down Syndrome
Learning Disabilities
Sensory Integration Disturbances
Spina Bifida
Traumatic Brain Injuries

Our Method
– how we do it

The goal of HOPE Landing is to provide the highest quality of care to every child in need within our scope and range of service.  Four factors are critical to success.

Place –
Located on a spacious, rolling ranch, a sense of peace and refreshment
is instilled in all who enter the gates through HOPE Landing’s warmth and natural beauty.  Regardless of growth, HOPE Landing will always strive to
ensure a natural, healthy, and beautiful environment for our families and
staff to enjoy and experience.

People –
HOPE Landing is dedicated to its employees and to the children and families
who are served through them.  It is the Corporation’s fullest intent
to invest in those who invest in the mission and work of the Corporation
because we believe people make the difference – not programs

Our staff is comprised of men and women with the character,
the competence and the passion it takes to, not only provide the highest
quality of care, but to give beyond that knowledge and expertise to make a lasting difference through love and compassion.

Programs –
Programs are designed to target the “whole” child by addressing the
five main areas of development (physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual) while maintaining a standard of excellence in effectiveness and quality.  Each child receives individualized care based on a plan that addresses personal needs and incorporates the natural environment as much as possible.

All programs are collaborative in nature, innovative, and progressive.
We’re always moving forward and working together within our corporate boundaries and within the local community to bring the absolute best to the children we serve. If we can’t help, we’ll find someone who can.

Possibility –
HOPE Landing understands the financial challenges that accompany
the need for long-term, specialized care and believes every child should have equal opportunity to reach his or her potential without the added stress of financial strain on the family.  That is why we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to every child in need regardless of the family’s ability to pay.

HOPE Landing is recognized in the state of Arkansas as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, community-based corporation.  We work with all others who are like-minded and who share the same core values for the benefit of the children and families we serve.

Although HOPE Landing works with a diverse population to achieve its mission, the corporation chooses to govern itself based on principles consistent with the Christian faith.  These principles are based on biblical doctrine of which all members of the governing Board of Directors are and must be in agreement.
